If you are coming to Chapel Hill with family and friends, this fabulous home has just changed the hospitality game. We have 12 people coming to UNC Graduation in May and were struggling to find a way to make this a memory for everyone and not an expensive, impersonal, 3 day ball of tension trying to move around town during one of the gridlock weekends. We did a recon trip this week to meet the owners and experience the property. Spectacular home, perfect hosts, lock this property down before anyone else finds out about it. A spacious home on a lake in Chapel Hill with tons of large common areas and features you don't have in your own home. The owners are hospitality pros, foodies and instant friends who will help you design a great experience. There is NO WAY you will be able to make memories like this elbowing strangers in the lobby of a chain hotel in town. Don't light your money on fire staying in a hotel in Chapel Hill - think giant Outer Banks beach house in the town of Chapel Hill with an insider who can help you hosts big dinners together in the home/cater one in, whatever you want. Lock in your dates before our friends grab them all.

I have enjoyed every stay with Sherry and David -- I am always welcomed so sincerely, and there is always every attention to detail. The hospitality and food is amazing -- they definitely go above and beyond in every way! I would recommend their home for a truly special stay in the lovely Chapel Hill Area.

This was my very first venture on Airbnb and it was wonderful. I arrived at Sherry and David's home well after midnight on a cold night. The lights were on and David greeted me with a big smile and a warm welcome. I knew instantly this was going to be GOOD. Due to the late hour, David showed my room with a quick orientation of their home. What a wonderful home with lots of amenities available for my stay. At every turn, both Sherry and David were offering to make me feel comfortable. David is the chef (an appropriate title) and breakfast was a real treat. One that is healthy also. The room was welcoming and the bed was very comfortable. Absolutely all that could be expected. An unexpected treat was being invited to have dinner with them when I got in from an evening dinner meeting. So delightful to visit with them over a casual dinner - topped of by a hot chocolate soufflé with raspberry sauce. In their game room, David showed me finer points of playing Snooker. Maybe next time I can bet him. This is without a doubt a place I will return to both for business and with my wife next time so she can experience this wonder couple and home.

The house is truly a hidden treasure. Situated on an elevated position overlooking a spectacular lake view, with a sailboat and kayak at your disposal, the house is impeccably clean and appointed, and the owners very gracious and welcoming. The house is so large that you can be by yourself if you wish, or in common areas. Everything feels so open and inviting. The beds and rooms are very comfortable and wonderfully appointed, along with the bathroom. Just like in the pictures. There are walking paths around the lake, a lakeside family area with swimming platform and beach, and close access to all that Chapel Hill has to offer, with the university conveniently up the road, but not too close. Be sure to say hello to the Aspen and Lance, the house dog and cat. Hit Sutton's Pharmacy on Franklin Street downtown for a great burger in a old time drugstore counter atmosphere, and then walk across the street to experience UNC-CH.
David and Sherry's home was incredibly beautiful and extremely comfortable. If only we could've stayed longer! We had several events scheduled during our 24 hour visit so we didn't get to enjoy their home as much as we would've liked so we definitely want to go back and take advantage of everything. We loved sitting on their screened porch in the morning enjoying the view of the lake and drinking coffee. David's breakfast was also amazing and he and Sherry both made us feel at home.
Dear Sherry, It was wonderful meeting you and staying in your beautiful home. It was the perfect stay-cation for us! Being right there on the lake felt like we were a million miles away. There were so many things we enjoyed: the quiet morning on your floating dock, sitting outside, taking in the gorgeous view and the scent of your beautiful gardenias, the absolute comfort of the room we stayed in, all your special touches and the warmth of your home. It was truly lovely. AND, the breakfast you made was delicious! Not to mention the genuine sharing that happened over that wonderful meal. We appreciate your generous support of the IAR and hope to come back again for another get away. With Kind Regards, Tiffany and Kelli
